A couple of Sony years ago and Keiichiro Toyama (author of the first Silent Hill) are in danger of seriously distorting the survival horror genre of so-called the first Forbidden Siren : the stealth approach curiously, the non-linear narrative, some stylistic choices as the faces Realistic brought a real breath of fresh air for the genre. Unfortunately, their efforts were almost entirely offset by gameplay too cumbersome and - above all - a difficulty level that exceeds the threshold of frustration. The few who have had the perseverance to complete it elected him as a paradigm of horror, but most of the public has never gone beyond the first level.

From a technical Forbidden Siren 2 is certainly not state of the art on Playstation 2, but we must recognize that manages to recreate effectively a certain atmosphere. It is particularly apt confirms the special attention given to the faces of the protagonists, which represents the "real" Nipponese faces of the actors who lend a voice to characters in the game: as in the first chapter, the expressiveness and detail of these clashes sharply with the Moreover, it represents at the same time one of the strengths of the product.

Finally, it remains the subject of longevity. Although less prohibitive of the first episode - for example, have now been included frequent checkpoints within levels, once dead no longer lose all items and there are more weapons with which to fight - Forbidden Siren 2 is still under a lot of work, recommended only for those who appreciate prequel.Sebbene a little more accessible than the first episode, Forbidden Siren 2 remains a deliberately elitist way, for those who have the patience and time to deal with become absorbed in the difficult tasks without frustration. The real problem, however, is the lack of a story that really passionate and challenge players to overcome the most difficult steps: choosing between too many characters around the fragment, plus temporally unrelated to each other, confirms this and adds an unhappy 'setting - from the purely Japanese horror - well made, but now much abused, both in cinematic entertainment. Ultimately the title Sony confirms directed mainly to the band of players who had already enjoyed the first episode, but of little interest to anyone else.
